1. What kind of chocolate is used in the fountain?
We use Sephra Chocolate.

2. What is the maximum number of guests that the chocolate fountain will serve?

The Chocolate Fountain will serve an unlimited number of guests as long as additional chocolate is added. Our 44" fountain can hold 20lbs. of chocolate, which is usually adequate for up to 149 guests. Of course the amount of chocolate consumed will depend on what else is served. If the chocolate fountain is the only dessert, you will use more chocolate than if it is part of a buffet. Additional chocolate can be purchased.

3. What dessert items are not recommended to be used with the fountain?

Anything that will break apart easily or is crumbly tends to compromise the flow of the chocolate. This does not mean you can't have these items only that a ladle will have to be used.  I

4. Do you provide the accompaniments?

We have found that many facilities do not allow outside vendors to provide food items. This is either included with your package or as an additional item for you to purchase through the facility. If this is not the case, you may have already booked a caterer to provide desserts for your event. With that in mind, our package does not include the accompaniments. We will work with you if you would like us to provide dipping items.

5. What items are used to dip in the fountain?

The chocolate fountain is perfect for dipping items such as strawberries, pineapples, marshmallows, grapes, melons, cherries, bananas, rice krispy treats, pretzels, animal crackers, graham crackers, apple slices, cookies, cream puffs, biscotti, and dried fruit.  See our dessert page for more dipping items.

6. Can the chocolate fountain be used outside?

The chocolate fountain operates best in enclosed areas. However we are looking into new products which allow for outdoor usage of the chocolate fountain.  ( We hope to offer outdoor services in summer of 2008.)

7. How long can you have the chocolate fountain at event?

All packages include a 2hour flow time.

Should you decide to use the fountain longer see additional cost on Alacarte page.

8. Who is responsible for Set-Up, Tear-Down and Clean Up of the chocolate fountain?

We do all the work for you so you can enjoy your event.

We arrive approximately 1 hour prior to flow time listed on your contract.

Once the event is over we'll dismantle and clean up.

9. How much should we tip our chocolate fountain attendant?

This is up to you.

10. What are the table and electrical requirements?

The chocolate fountain requires a 120 volt grounded electrical outlet within 10 feet of the location of the Fountain. In addition, a sturdy table capable of handling 150 lbs in weight is required.  If it’s not level, the chocolate will not flow properly. Please confirm these requirements with your facility before the event so that there is no delay in the set-up of the fountain. In addition, the facility should provide tablecloths that match the decor of your event. Also a garbage can is needed next to the table.

11 . Do you provide the decorations for the chocolate fountain?
The chocolate fountain itself is the ultimate decoration for any table. The cascading chocolate along with the colorful array of fruit and other appetizers is plenty of decorations to make the table appealing. Of course we provide a base wrap along with artificial floral arrangement. You are also more than welcome to provide any additional decorations if you so desire.

Call for price on decorations such as fresh flowers and balloons etc.

12. What’s required to reserve your special day?

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required to hold your date along with a signed contract. After the deposit is received with all the information about your event (date, place, time, type of event, etc.,).  The balance is due 2 weeks prior to your event and can be paid by Check, Money order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.  All returned checks are submitted to a $25.00 return fee in addition to your balance.

13. How should the food be prepared for dipping?

Fresh Strawberries should be washed and kept whole.

Fresh Pineapple and Melon can be cut into 1 1/2" chunks.
Bananas can be cut into 2" chunks right before the event begins.
Mini Cream Puffs are best when served partially frozen.
Cookies should be left whole.
Angel Food Cake should be cut into big cake pieces, chocolate can be drizzled over it.
Biscotti should be left whole.
Graham Crackers are best served when each cracker is in half.
Large Marshmallows are best if kept in bag until just before event begins.
Large Pretzel rods are best with the fountain.

Powdered or Sugared Cookies are not Recommended, but chocolate can be ladle on them .
If using items from a can or jar like Whole Maraschino Cherries or Mandarin Oranges - they should be completely drained.
We do not recommend canned Pineapple or Half Maraschino Cherries.

If you decide to provide the items for your event yourself consider prepackaged items and having items at event when we arrive so we may have everything setup and ready for your guests.  Please be aware that dipping items that are small in size might cause the fountain to flow unevenly.  A ladle will be provided for items that crumble easily but we are not responsible if your guest decide otherwise.

14. How far ahead should I reserve my special day?

We recommended that you book as early as possible.
